Senior thesis proved to be a great opportunity to expand my knowledge and explore items beyond the initial scope of the curriculum.  The structure of senior thesis gives students the chance to be responsible for their own work, work that is similar to that which they might see in industry.  Throughout the course of both the fall and spring semesters, I was completing work directly related to the integrated structural and architectural design experience.  Senior thesis asks students to step out beyond the scope of the predetermined parameters within typical academic problems and approach the design process with a holistic approach.

I am very thankful that Dr. Boothby, Professor Parfitt, and Dr. Solnosky gave me the support I needed while pushing me to explore ideas and issues I had not previously considered.  Furthermore, I am very thankful for the extended AE community's help in this endeavor.  Senior thesis helped me see how extensive the AE family is, and through this large network, I was able to grow my knowledge extensively.
