About Josh

Josh Jaskowiak is a fifth-year student enrolled in the Bachelor and Master of Architectural Engineering Program at Penn State University with a focus in structures.  Josh has been a member of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) student chapter and the Structural Engineers Association (SEA).  As a member of the NAHB, Josh served as the project manager for the student-led residential design competition for two years.  Within the AE department, Josh was the teaching assistant for AE 221 for five semesters helping students build wood trusses and concrete beams.  He is currently the teaching intern for AE 430, Indeterminate Structures.  In 2015, he passed the FE exam and will be an Engineer in Training (EIT) upon graduation.

 

Away from school, Josh has had a variety of work experiences over the previous four summers.  After working as a carpenter’s assistant after his first year, Josh worked at Skanska’s heavy civil department in Virginia Beach.  The following summer, he worked at James G. Davis Construction in Rockville, MD on a project management team.  The following summer, he worked as a structural engineering intern at Mulhern and Kulp in Ambler, PA. 

 

Throughout his time at Penn State, Josh has served as the assistant and head coach of the Penn State Baseball Club Division II team, helping lead them to four-straight regional championships and NCBA D2 College World Series.  After graduation, Josh will be working at WJE in Farifax Virgina where he will begin his career.
